Trip and Fleck

Trip and Fleck was commissioned by Kirsten as a pencil drawing.

Trip (the black and white) has such a sweet face, and Fleck (the Merle) is so cute with his tongue sticking out!. I loved these two, they were so adorable to draw! Quite a tricky portrait, as light haired smooth dogs can be difficult to do on smooth paper! Normally I would do them on a more textured paper, but as Trip was so dark that wouldn’t work. I kept this one plain with very little background, just a touch of shadow at the bottom.
